At the meeting where members of MISAD showed a high participation within “29th Group Occupational Committee of Metal Treatment, Shaping, Heat Treatment and Coating Industry”, developments, demands and expectations about Heat Treatment Sector were addressed to Istanbul Chamber of Industry.

At the meeting that started with presentations of ICI authorities, members of MISAD were informed about services and activities of Istanbul Chamber of Industry, and ideas about sectoral issues were exchanged.

In presentations made by ICI authorities, attendants were informed about general situation, projects, reports prepared, membership services, distribution of members by sectors, capacity reports, incentive certificates, incentive system, expertise reports, service processes of expertise reports, incentive table, membership contribution feed, specialized board of environment, specialized board of energy, energy efficiency awards, Europe Businesses Network Project, foreign trade trainings, foreign trade school, R&D projects, international contacts, bilateral meetings and international cooperations.

Following presentations about services and activities of ICI, Utku İnan, Deputy Chairman of MISAD made a presentation. In presentation, definition and usage areas of heat treatment were explained and he stated that some aims of the foundation are to make competition fair and reduce energy costs.

Assessments were made for cooperations to be established with ICI about simplification of NACE codes, regulation on occupational health and safety, regulation on overtime, inclusion of heat treatment in the scope of incentive and amortization periods of heat treatment equipment.

At the end of the meeting, ideas about danger classification of the sector, issue of contaminated energy, problems in legal dispose of wastes and assessment of “Heat Treatment” sector in the same category just as other sectors were exchanged.
