News: 4th International Mediterranean Heat Treatment and Surface Engineering Conference will be held in June 2020 in Istanbul within the framework of METEM Chamber of Metallurgical and Materials Engineers and Metal Heat Treatment Industrialists Association (MISAD).
MISAD, which started the studies related to the conference a long time ago, organized the first executive board meeting of the conference. It is expected to receive a large number of applicants to the conference to be held in the Istanbul Chamber of Industry, which will be organized by MISAD and METEM in cooperation with IFHTSE (International Federation of Heat Treatment and Surface Engineering) as in certain previous events.
Meeting point of all the elements of the sector
Sabahattin Özen, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of MISAD, who gave information about the activities carried out about the conference, said: ”The first announcement of the conference was made. We have also executed another meeting regarding the selection of the paper topics, opening of the WEB site and other organizational matters. As Ipsen International GmbH being the main sponsor, we have received 19 sponsors till today and continued: The 4th International Mediterranean Heat Treatment and Surface Engineering Conference is the largest organization under the roof of the association. As MISAD, we are a member of IFHTSE and this event will be a very important event for the sector. All the components of our industry will come together.”
Özen also stated that the 3rd International Mediterranean Heat Treatment and Surface Engineering Conference took place in Slovenia in 2016, and added, "The conference will be held in Odakule, Istanbul with the support of ISO. All sub-branches of heat treatment will be the subject of the conference and we are expecting about 100 delegates local and international”.
